Space and Inclusion
WGT successfully delivers a range of educational and training
opportunties on the Waterloo Millennium Green and other sites in North
Lambeth (including social housing estates) to encourage community
engagement and interest in the environment. The majority of these
activities specifically target children, young people and marginalised
communities in the local area. Some activities are open to
all.
WGT works in partnership with local businesses through the evolving
Business Improvement District and South Bank Employers Group to deliver
activities on the Waterloo Millennium Green and promote the local
economy.
The activities include:
- After school gardening clubs and specific environmental educational events with local school children.
- Food growing projects with local organisations such as The WAC Bangladeshi women and seniors group.
- Environmental education sessions on Waterloo Millennium Green
with local schools

Employee-ask your manager to sponsor you, get out of the office for the day and go back revitalised.
